You've come to the right place ;) > She has to replace her basic phone, and she is running Ubuntu desktop, > so whatever PDA (if any) that she gets needs to talk easily to that. > Since I've never even thought about it before, I have no idea what > incantations are necessary. There is another option. I have a Nokia 6630, though any Symbian phone should do. It syncs using SyncML to an online calendar service called Mobical[1]. The synchronisation goes over GPRS, so can be done anywhere. That way, no need to talk to a desktop and the calendar is available everywhere. Calendar/contact app is pretty good, though iCal support would be nice. [1]: Mobical I have a friend who swears by Yahoo's calendar and some little app that synchronizes it to the phone. -- Rev Simon Rumble <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> www.rumble.net "To retain respect for sausages and laws, one must not watch them in the making." - Otto von Bismarck -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
