Am I missing something here, or have we answered someone looking to buy a new computer with linux on it with instructions on how to buy an old computer with Windows on it? :)

LOL! the idea implied, I guess, is to install my fav distro of linux on the windows box. I've installed many many boxes, but now I feel lazy to find the correct perfect drivers, recompile the kernel with graphics drivers etc... I 'm a bit anal when it comes to installation, it has to be perfect or I'll be wasting time tuning it, breaking it and fixing it ...
While I personally would install it myself, I am most certainly curious if anyone even has this as an option?

Surely one of you Ubuntu Partners must have something by now where I can drop my credit card on a website and a straight forward home/work box turns up on my door in a few days.

Or can anyone confirm he can turn up at the North Rocks Computer Markets, buy a new Linux box, and walk away with it?

If not, thats a business I can start right after I arrive :) build boxes and sell 'em ready to use, plug 'n play. We've RH9 ready boxes available in Bangladesh, I'd be surprised if its not available in NSW.
