Hi
help, you folk have done this:

This is relevant ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On tigger I modified the zonefile for Perth.
On some of my customers machines I accepted suse (yast) updates for zone file.
I still need to find if and how ubuntu has updates, else I'll use my own one.

mine ...
[tigger] /home/jam [60]% zdump -v /usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth |grep
2006
/usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth Sat Dec 2 17:59:59 2006 UTC = Sun Dec 3
01:59:59 2006 WST isdst=0 gmtoff=28800
/usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth Sat Dec 2 18:00:00 2006 UTC = Sun Dec 3
03:00:00 2006 WST isdst=1 gmtoff=32400

suse's ...
[server] /home/jam [850]% /usr/sbin/zdump
-v /usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth |grep 2006
/usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth Sat Dec 2 17:59:59 2006 UTC = Sun Dec 3
01:59:59 2006 WST isdst=0 gmtoff=28800
/usr/share/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth Sat Dec 2 18:00:00 2006 UTC = Sun Dec 3
03:00:00 2006 WST isdst=1 gmtoff=32400
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So this morning I checked times and NOTHING had happend, time was exactly as
before.
I do not understand. I thought I may have screwed up my zonefile, but I
expected suse's update to work.
Any suggestions ...

I have on my www page times for london and maryland they DO track their
daylight saving times. The global system DOES work AND Perth is NOT correct.
Also if I change date to correct Perth time the rest of the world is wrong.
I'm utterly confused ...

James
