I've got the same chip (emu10k1) but have never tried to do it like this because I have an inbuilt card that I can use for music output (read: AC'97). If you've got an inbuilt/integrated it might be worth looking into it as the output isn't too bad, particularly not for music :) Hoo Roo, Alex.
