Yep - I have seen this numerous times. It usually occurs for me when Evo has not been able to complete the writes of it's working files, either due to a sudden shutdown, or a full disk partition. If you had a problem with a full disk partition, be sure to free up space before proceeding. The fix (standard disclaimers: backup first, be careful etc.) is to shut down Evolution, then remove Inbox.cmeta, Inbox.ev-summary, Inbox.ibex.index, Inbox.ibex.index.data. The location of these files will vary depending on your version of Evolution - for 2.0.4, they are in ~/.evolution/mail/local Once removed, restart Evolution. It will re-create all the removed files from the Inbox file. Depending on the size of your inbox, this could take a while.
