No worries. Maybe I'm naive but that's the way I saw your reply too. I too felt caught out of guard when someone taught me about seemingly trivial things like "fgrep -r" which I wasn't aware about until a couple of years ago, or was pointed to the manual page of "iptables" to discover things like the "owner" and "geoip" modules which do just the sort of stuff I was planning to do for ages.
