Many thanks to tose who responded to my query.
I now have a laptop with a 100GB internal hard
drive and the former HD is now in an external
HD holder.

I'd like to connect the (Microsoft) external hard
drive to the (Fedora) laptop to use as needed
(occasionally). I'm told that, to do this:---

(a) the laptop has to boot from other than its
BIOS-directed hard drive and
(b) this can be done by amending the BIOS, if
it's possible. If not, then
(c) instal a BIOS that will.

Is all this correct thus far? The laptop is a Fujitsu, ~4 years old.

Any help/suggestions etc.

Regards,

Bill Bennett.
