I agree, Jeff.

This is ridiculous.

I can say that where I work we're often *required*, for the sake of accuracy, to put 'profanities' in e-mail and other correspondence.

The material is required and is therefore not gratuitous, but it makes me laugh when I think of what happens in other places.

It's create a monumental problem if some bright spark decided to filter 'naughty' words :))

I just received a "your message has been blocked due to PROFANITY" email in
response to this.

At which point did we become litigious enough in this country to require or
suggest that an employer protect their staff from normal communication with
the outside world? Coddlers.
