Looking at installing for the first time. The drive is currently NTFS.
Will Linux install to this or do I need to redo it as FAT(32)?
Will Linux read NTFS formatted partitions?
Thanks,
Paul.
Currently, out of the box, it will read NTFS but not write it so you
will have to change it if you want to install Linux to the NTFS
partition. I would suggest either freeing up space to be able to make
multiple partitions, run one as ext3 with Linux, the other leave as
Windows, or if you don't care about what is on the drive or about being
able to read it from windows, wipe the drive and put ext3 on it.
