I am looking at getting a cheap laptop for when I don't have access to my desktop computer. I want a more bare bones linux laptop because I plan on using it only for the basic things I need to do such as word processing My SQL development and experimentation Web development. don't even really want Internet access if I can run my developments on the laptop.
Don't want to spend lots as I have spent billions (OK maybe that's an exageration) on building my current Linux desktop with UV lights and even a 2nd fan over the CPU. So what is a Linux and wallet friendly laptop? -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
