maybe I asked the wrong question :)

qdvdauthor has a feisty package that runs on my system, but it also
crashes a lot. There is a much later version available but I have to
compile it from tar. THAT is where I'm having trouble. I keep installing
different qt development packages in the fond hope that eventually I
will have enough for qdvdauthor to compile, but I never get
past ./configure.

I was kinda hoping there was a vanilla way to get around this problem.
Of course, the problem may be that the qt dev packages are old versions
relative to the latest qdvdauthor, in which case I'm fresh out of luck I
guess. Am I? Or do I not know what I'm talking about?

thanks

David.
