In Berkeley unix 4.0, many years ago, Robert Henry wrote a useful utility for developers called "error", which could be used to insert the body of error messages into the source files, to make it easier to find and fix the errors.
Does anyone know whether it's available for Linux? I haven't been able to find it via synaptic, rpmfind, apt-cache search, or google searches. The best I can find are the man pages. I also see that it's included in the developer tools for MacOS X. luke -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
