You'll mostly likely need to download the vmware-any-any patch: http://ftp.cvut.cz/vmware/vmware-any-any-update109.tar.gz First install vmware how you usually would (tarball or rpm) then once its gets the kernel module section and it dies, then run the script (as root) from the vmware-any-any tarball and it'll carry on from where the install left off.
