Hi, We have an IBM xSeries 306 (88364SU) in which we just put 4 x 1 GB of RAM, and when it boots, it says 4096M System Memory Installed, and then 3327M OK. Once Linux boots up, it only has 3.2 GB.
I tried calling IBM support but the rep said that the missing memory got allocated to PCI devices. It seems unbelievable to me that 0.8 GB would go to PCI devices... seems like quite a lot.
