Hi

I can mount my work server's file system as a CIFS filesystem okay. I can see the top level directory. I can change directories, but... the directory listing shows the toplevel again. I can keep changing to /X/X/X/X/X and still keep seeing the toplevel directory listing. This happens with clients such as bash and konqueror. I looked on the Samba bug lists and couldn't see anything quite like this. Anyone seen something similar?

I'm using Fedora 8 with kernel 2.6.23 but this happened with FC6 and earlier kernels too. My fstab entry is
    //bhtdata/infostore     /G                      cifs (rw,mand)
