It is a very difficult program to install and requires a very large number of Perl modules. This page has prepackaged RT http://wiki.bestpractical.com/view/InstallationGuides but the compiled install is the best IMHO. Part of the install process has an automatic finder and downloader of all required perl modules but I warn you that it can take quite a long time. You may need to run the downloader/installer a couple of times but in the end it will get there. You need also when configuring RT, to understand that it installs as a virtual web site. It took me a long time to understand this. All in all, RT is a brilliant product once installed - very easy to use and configure. It is very fast in use too. Good luck.
