but what i mean is, if its using oss, maybe oss only configured for
your onboard sound - not your usb.

iceweasels sound preferences may not be honored by flash...

is flash using oss emulation?

I'm getting sound - it's just not where I want it.

From what I have read, I need to set ICEWEASEL_DSP="aoss"

I have tried that. Also "essid" and "alsa". None of it seems to make
any difference. The sound comes through the on-board card even though
the default sound card is set to the USB one.

Everything else works as it should.

Hi,
Debian Etch with flashplugin-nonfree:

I've got an on-board sound card and a usb one. The usb is the one
that I use. It works for Rhythmbox, Ekiga, Totem and other noise
makers.

It doesn't work for Flash in Iceweasel. That uses the on-board card
no matter what I do.

Some other info:

alsaconf doesn't see the usb card.

asoundconf list: no cards listed.

cat /proc/asound/cards

Any suggestions very, very welcome. This is driving me nuts.

Thanks,
Alan
