Hi, I have a Ubuntu binary mirror (and medibuntu binary/source), and am
getting a couple of openmoko freerunners in the next Aus group buy, for
friends who are interested in them (so am I of course).

There is a debian for openmoko repository on the way:
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianOnFreeRunner

This repo is about 6MB in size, pretty small. That page says "You can
then also use almost all of the packages available for Debian"; so
there's a lot of packaging work to be done.

So, I wish to create a local Debian unstable binary and source
repository (to readily create chroots) and contribute if I can to the
effort.

My questions:

Is there much overlap between the ubuntu (hardy which I have) and debian
respositories?

If there is any significant overlap, then is it possible to share the
package pool between debian and Ubuntu?

Can this be done with debmirror?

If not, then is anyone else doing this, and what scripts/ tools do you
use?

Thanks in advance
Zenaan
