If all you want is a basic Cisco router for a small network why not use
a Linksys (made by Cisco). They are very cheap at well under $100 and
are easy to program. I have one (a WRT54G2) running my wireless setup
and it was easy to set up and seems very reliable. I also use Linksys
WMP54G wireless cards in my PCs and all works well under Ubuntu 8.04.

Ebay

cisco stuff is constantly churning through.

However your question seems two fold.

1) im not sure what router i want
2) where can i get one.

so as for point 1) you will need to be more specific with your
requirements. However assuming an adsl router, ebay is still a great
place to start. However im sure many will point out that cheaper
alternatives may prove just as, if not more, satisfactory to a cisco
solution.

Hello,

I'm trying to find a relatively basic, hopefully used, Cisco router
for my
workplace but am not up to date with their product line and Google'ing
around comes up with tons of web sites but they all seem to assume you
know
what you are looking for.

Can someone give me a helpful pointer on how to focus my search?
Recommendations for trsut-worthy businesses?

Thanks,
