basically, it's a set of, well, slides (some with photos), would flash be

You could convert it to PDF using OpenOffice.org

OOo may be able to convert it to a set of HTML pages as well.

I'd say flash. Nothing against OOo, you can even use to export a SWF as well!

Or online services such as Google Docs and Slide Share:

Having a PDF/HTML or even PPS/ODP option will allow presentation to be indexed by search engines.

I'd say presentations and video are the only things I don't mind being in flash. Everything else is just cruft!

I think this is an area that is still evolving. It also depends on your motive
for putting the content on the web. HTML is most accessible, only important if
you actually want people to read your content online.

My experience in giving live presentations from HTML webpages hasn't been good.
But I haven't tried Slidy yet:

Video production of a live presentation needs to be very good and the audio is
more important than the visual...so, maybe adding a sound track to the slides is
the best option. This can be done with HTML pages - though there are still
dramas with audio and video formats. I gave a talk on open format video, which
was recorded and edited here:

I have played with adding frogcalls in Ogg to this webpage - though the webpage works and I can hear the calls with Linux/Firefox, I haven't had any positive reports from other
configurations. Check out (and feedback off-list welcome):
