Well, if it was sufficiently confusing, poorly documented or otherwise
difficult to understand it might well be a "bug", even if it is in a
person or a bit of documentation.
If you tell us what it was then we can advise better, but generally
I would suggest you file a bug report against Ubuntu for it — even if it
is just "improve the documentation".
Alternately, you could take it to the Ubuntu developers list, with a
polite note along the lines of what you wrote here, and ask them for
advice about what to do with it.
(Include the details in that case, though. :)

Others have already listed the places to do that; certainly, one reason
I am on this mailing list is because I do want to find out how other
people had problems before I make the same mistakes myself.
