Yea I have seen ones where they replace the outer casing with something like 
'16G' but really its only 2G.

It's the risk you take with online purchases I guess, it is a big problem with 
the memory cards used in the Sony PSP consoles.

Oh, the other issue I encountered was the original SD card I used was
a fake --- it purported to be a LENXS 16G card, but actually appeared
to be an 8G card with firmware bodged up to look like 16G.  There are
apparently a lot of such cards on the market --- caveat emptor.
