I hve found Webcalendar good. It works of php and mysql

Zimbra is working well for us. It is a full groupware suite, which is
great
if you want that kind of convenience/integration, but probably a
tad extreme if
you just want a calendar server. It has a very nice Web
client (feels almost
like a desktop app) and supports a range of open
protocols (so you can hook
into it with Thunderbird, etc. very
easily).

If you want something
really easy, you could sync to Google Calendar
(recognising that you're handing
control of your data to Google).
