Hi Adam
Correction - dont use sudo.
It worked for me and loaded both ffox and tbird but of course it was as
ROOT.
When I next boted PC and tried to run Ffox and TBird I got the message
re "profile already in use/program running" or such.
I deleted /home/username/firefox and ./home/username/thunderbird, copied
them across again from old working Kubuntu and re-ran "firefox
-profilemanager" and "thunderbird -profilemanager" as user. Firefox
opened up with everything in place but I somehow stuffed Thunderbird.
Have to try again.
Good luck
Bill
Thanks, I imagine that would also work for epiphany and galeon.
I may have to invest in a new USB stick.
Cheers,
Adam.

My method, which I've just worked out again as I forgot what I'd done
previously) when I want to set up Firefox and Thundrbird in a new
install, is to copy the old installs /home/xxx/.mozilla ( or
/home/xxxx/.mozilla-thunderbird) to the /home/xxxx/ of the new
install BEFORE running either Firefox or Thunderbird.
I then run ( in a terminal) sudo firefox-x.x ( ie firefox-3.5)
-profilemanager ( or sudo thunderbird -profilemanager), which finds
the copied user profile. Just accept it and then select "run" and it
will set up everything and even download and install updated plugins
etc.
Hope this helps - your Iceape should be included in all of this
automatically I imagine.
