The problem occurs on both my machines but tends to only happen when I am using the story editor. I thought the laptop might be at fault at first so I ran memtest86 with no errors. I was surprised to have the crash repeat on my desktop system which is also an intel core 2 duo with 4GB running Ubuntu 9.10 (64 bit).
