I have installed an open source POS system for a cafe which stayed in use (with
periodic updates) for about 3 years when they relocated and sold the business
(don't know what the new owners use). When it was first installed it was called
TinaPOS, then it became librepos, and finally it was bought by OpenBravo and is
now called Openbravo POS. While I have not used it, Openvbravo's ERP now has
the POS integration, perhaps this would help with all the your business
statistics and accounting?
I can only recommend the POS system as that is all I have used, but it suited
us perfectly and did a damn good job.
