My history and interest is embedded systems. Long long ago tektronix used a 
unix system for their microprocessor devevopment system. That is where I wet 
my feet.
Logic analysers are invaluable tools for all sorts of technical stuff ie under 
water ROV for oil exploration, data aquisition, robotics

and an olive picking robot based on linux control systems that I did

I would have loved a pointer like this before wasting munnie on
