I am assuming that means that you get a Skype account for your phone
calls rather than direct connectivity via Telstra etc. You can still use
Skype to call conventional phones.
The other drawback is that the resolution of the handheld part of the device
is a little low at 480x320. Compare, the Nokia N900, N810, N800 and N770 which
have 800x480, and the iPhone 4 with 960x640.
Depends if you want it for pretty apps, or for compact practical use.
The idea of a notebook/phone/pad all in one small package for travelling
is pretty attractive. The list price is less than an iPhone!
The requirement to remove the back cover, exposing circuitry, to insert the
handheld device into the tablet display is a cause for concern as to
practicality - you don't want to be making that transfer on the train.
I imagine that you would mainly be using one part of the device or
another at any given time, eg on the bus or in a hotel - not switching
endlessly from one to another.
Other than that, the concept is certainly interesting. I like the idea that
the tablet and the handheld can be the same device.
