Hi Craig,
Well---It seemed to work on my scratch box, but on doing the same thing on my
mail system the @reboot does not seem to work. At least, the script that
should run sends output to a file to tell me what has happened. Nothing is
written to this file.
If i put a time into crontab to run my script all works, I am told when the
system started backing up and when it finished.
This does not happen with @reboot.
The man page does not indicate any case sensitivity, so I used lower as did
the man page.
the only difference between the 2 systems is that the test box has a login
screen whilst the mail box logs in automatically.
I willl try this on the mail box, but if this is the problem I shall have to
go back to a timed backup as occasionally the system runs on autopilot,
starting up and shutting down.
