I have the same monitor and struck the same problems. They all went away
when I by chance used a dual-dvi cable ie. one that does not have any pins
missing in the connector.
The Dell 700m laptop I have, has a VGA (15-pin female) output.
Did you run this configuration, converting a VGA output into DVI to
then run to the monitor, or did you have a DVI output port to begin
with?
TIA
My system has DVI and VGA and I wanted the better resolution of DVI -
but it looked fuzzy without the correct cable.
