Hi Jim,

Not an Aussie hosting provider, but Bluehost (http://www.bluehost.com) have
ticks in all your boxes - you only need to provide them some photo-ID for them
to allow SSH access (I sent a slightly redacted scan of my driver's licence).
I've been with them for a while and never had any problems. I'd recommend you
fork out for a static IP on your hosting account though - they seem to attract
sites that occasionally get added to IP-blacklists and once (in 3 years) all my
sites went down as collateral damage. It's not expensive either, about
USD$7/mth (unlimited storage, unlimited transfer) and USD$2.50/mth for a static
IP. So converted to AUD is even better (at moment).

Phone support is good and they have web-chat support too (if any of that is
important to you). I'm sure others will have suggestions, but I've been really
happy with the price/performance/features from Bluehost.

Cheers,

James
