Hi Peter,

yes it's an i7 core with 4GB RAM & 1TB HDD as I do quite a bit of video
editing & other load-intensive work on it... a $500 pc couldn't cope
with my workload, so I can't afford to retire it just yet.

Thanks for your Safemode suggestion I'll check them out.
