I think what jeremy is saying is whilst you could have 30 devices associated with an AP your not going to be able to push much data through the rather congested airspace.

If its for education/charity cisco has some donation programs, you can get 1140AP's for the same ballpark as consumer stuff. NFI if they will handle that many clients but if anything common is going to ;->

So in short, you can likely support 30+ clients associating to an Atheros based
device (but there's limitations on hardware encryption keycache slots and I
