Is anyone on this list familiar with and/or using e17.2.1?
I have been using e16 DR17 for some time and it is very fast and works
quite well. My only problem is that the newer version which is an
upgrade of the recently officially released e17 creates a problem which
can only be resolved by removing it completely.

The problem is that libembryo0_1.7.6 is trying to install over
libembryo1_1.2.0 and is is unable to do so.
All the libraries used by e17 are version 1.7.6 and the libraries on the
system are all 1.2.0.
I have tried going in as root and manually placing the libraries and
their links in place and doing an ldconfig but the system still comes up
with the same error claiming that it needs libembryo.1.7.6 but libembryo
1.2.0 is installed (which seems strange when I have removed all traces
of it!

Any clues would be useful

Thanks
Heracles
