Tried Manjaro and I like where it is going. I especially like that it has a distro available with e17 already set as the default desktop. Turned out that there was something wrong with my install that was unfixable (by me) so after reinstalling 13.04 I removed unity and replaced it with cinnamon and then reinstalled e17 and let it upgrade to the latest kernel and libraries. No more hassles. I did nor install manjaro; just ran it live as I have no familiarity with arch linux packaging whereas I've been using debs for years. I might install it in a vm and learn more about it.
