I was having trouble getting WiFi connectivityl.
Preliminary Information: Toshiba Satellite A660 Laptop. Running Ubuntu 14.04 only. So, I started with Ubuntu Wireless Connection Troubleshooter, followed Steps 1 & 2, to find out the Wireless Interface. Finally ended up with: – *-network DISABLED description: Wireless interface product: BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter vendor: Broadcom Corporation physical id: 0 bus info: pci@0000:07:00.0 logical name: wlan0 version: 01 serial: e8:39:df:33:10:88 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list ethernet physical wireless configuration: broadcast=yes driver=wl0 driverversion=6.30.223.141 (r415941) latency=0 multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11abg resources: irq:17 memory:d7300000-d7303fff Hum! Well, I know my limits. I believe I have to find some drivers that will move the BCM4313 into action. Not sure how to do this. As far as I can see from Step 3, there *are* no specific drivers for this adapter; so I should find generic, or proprietary drivers and instal then. Have I got it right thus far? Any help etc. William Bennett. -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
