He or she will have demonstrable experience designing and developing applications/tools which showcase a firm grasp of object-oriented techniques and an exceptional understanding of networking concepts, as well as multithreaded and distributed computing. Responsibilities include: * Take part in the design and development of a high-performance networking product. * Write and implement specifications. * Implement functional and unit tests. * Test and debug functional and performance problems. * Write technical documents, whitepapers, etc. Requirements: * Deep Java development knowledge spanning JavaEE, distributed application design, etc. * Considerable experience writing client/server networking code. * Experience writing multithreaded code for parallel execution environments. * Experience and good taste in API design. * Experience developing on multiple platforms: Unix/Linux, Windows, etc. * Familiarity with GUI development (Swing). * Familiarity with CORBA, DCOM, Web Services, etc. will be a bonus. * Ability to work with/lead small teams in a casual work environment with an unlimited supply of caffeine.
