The Ubuntu CD comes with Gnome as the default desktop. If you prefer

FYI,
I requested for ubuntu 7.04 CD on 18-June,
the delivery is said to be 4 to 6 weeks,
but I got in mail box on 3-July. That is fast.
Trial run as liveCD on gigabyte mobo w/ onboard video and sound.
It was smooth as compared with 5.04, which got stuck in "checking
battery"
I am not comfortable w/ default desktop might want to change to
KDE if I do installation and know howto.
