Hi All, Due to growing business, my company needs a good Support Engineer. Following are the requirements.
Job scope: - Install and provide technical support to end-customers for HPC clusters, large SMP servers running Linux (usually), or Solaris (occassionally). End customers are primarily Universities, Polytechnics, Research Institutes and commercial firms working on cutting edge IT. - Install FLOSS and commercial applications : including compiling and optimizing from source code. Normally applications are MPI parallel apps - Commission InfiniBand networks - Handle support calls all the way upto resolution. Includes 24x7 calls. - Provide technical training on Linux, cluster toolkits and usage of software such as compilers, build tools, Sun Grid Engine etc. Qualifications: - Very good skills with Linux esp. x86_64, RHEL/FC and Debian/Ubuntu, including hands on skills compiling apps, kernels, some experience packaging etc. Some knowledge of Solaris is good to have - A diploma or degree in IT or Sciences with preferably 1-year experience. - Preferably, Singapore citizen or ASEAN citizen since some regional travel (MY, ID, VN, TH) is involved. - Some experience or interest in fixing small bugs will be a definite plus. - Preferably, possess a local driving license.
