My company (Adeptiva Linux Pte Ltd) is expanding, and in urgent need of a
Linux Systems Administrator.
Job Scope:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
o Managing remote Linux servers for our clients in Singapore as well
as other regional countries
o Doing remote/telephone desktop support for LANs with MS Windows
desktop systems, backed by our Linux Servers
o Performing on-site visits to our customers in Singapore to resolve
server and desktop problems.
o Research and deploy customized server solutions for our customers
o Candidates are encouraged to become actively involved in FOSS
projects and may use Company Resources for their FOSS efforts.
The successful candidate's workstation:
Core Duo 2.4Ghz, 4Gb RAM
22" WideScreen LCD or (2 x 19") displays. Your choice.
SteelCase office chair
Distro of your choice
Additionally the successful candidate will be allowed the use of 1U rackspace
at our datacenter facility for personal, non-commercial use.
Eligibility/Qualifications:
o Singaporean residents and citizens may apply.
o Candidate must have a keen interest in Linux Server Administration

o Degree and Diploma holders with severe Linux addiction may apply.
Nice to Have:
o Software development background is a plus
o Linux certifications are a bonus, but not essential
o Scripting background in Python, PHP, BASH etc.
Salary:
S$2000 - S$3000 commensurate with experience
