My company needs to hire an experienced Java Web Developer. This will be a
short-term contract (3 months) leading to full-time/permanent employment. We

Position: Senior Java Software Engineer
Job Scope:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation
of Java-based web applications for our customers. This job calls for an
enthusiastic team player with at least 3 years' experience in developing and
deploying Enterprise Java Solutions. The Candidate must have no misconceptions
about who we are talking about when we mention the "Gang of Four". Furthermore
you shall not confuse AJAX with a cleaning agent, or think that Dependency
Injection refers to getting your kids the Flu Jab. The candidate must also be
able to tolerate extremely bad Java puns.
Key Job Requirements:
* Requirements gathering
* Design and Architect your solutions using UML (Must have indepth
knowledge of key UML artifacts)
* Must have at least some knowledge of Design Patterns and Anti-patterns,
and be able to architect solutions accordingly
* Knowledge of Java EE and related technologies
* Must have successfully worked with ORM technologies e.g. Hibernate
* At least 3+ years' experience in Java Software Development
* Candidates must be outspoken and have the ability to communicate clearly.
* In-depth knowledge of HTML/Javascript/XHTML and other current web
standards
* Must have experience in at least one Java web framework
Preference will be given to candidates with following:
* Knowledge of Groovy/Grails
* Eclipse RCP/Birt
* Some Linux Exposure, as you will be working at a Linux Company.
* Theoretical knowledge of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence /
Finite Automata
* Java certification
* Spring Framework experience
Minimum Qualifications:
* Degree Holders and above
