Nice.

With the price of flash memory dropping, it was inevitable that
someone would fit an embedded OS into flash.

However, if you do have such an expensive board, how often would you
boot to the limited embedded OS just to use Firefox and Skype? These
apps seem a lot more suitable for cheap diskless machines (e.g. thin
clients).

On the other hand, I guess it won't take hackers very long to figure
out how to replace the image with a more functional version. Adding
system recovery tools (built-in rescue disk!), etc might make a lot
more sense.

A sort of related project is LinuxBIOS ( http://www.linuxbios.org/ ),
though this Asus board seems to have more flash space available.
