Well, since they had marketed about the ease of use for the Linux versions, maybe we can push it further by introducing to school children and corner the group of users while they have not been tainted (at least not by much) by Windows. Hehehe...

In a way it's a compliment, but the choice of words leaves something to be desired. And as John Thng says, if you're talking up MSN messenger and MS Works on one platform, shouldn't you mention equivalent functions in the supposedly "simpler" platform? I don't really have a problem with the Windows version description - "experienced users" is no doubt code for people who are used to Windows. But the Linux description could use some elaboration. _______________________________________________ Slugnet mailing list [email protected] http://wiki.lugs.org.sg/LugsMailingListFaq http://www.lugs.org.sg/mailman/listinfo/slugnet That is why. They shouldn't talk linux on the whole, they should focus talk solely on their Asus Eee Specially Modded Linux. So on advanced mode(which is the standard for most linux distribution), so those descriptions of windows can fit in? And just like what Jean Jordaan have said, I believe the press release statement, the windows part is given and sponsored if I'm not wrong. It wasn't designed for windows xp in the first place ... And a side question, can I buy laptop without the stupid windows sticker? Oh should we have a design for linux sticker project haha .... Like most laptops are forced to have the stickers by default. It's just ugly ... Windows Button too ... Nevertheless, I want to admit, Microsoft is one of the powerful marketing company than Tech company. And also maybe there should be a shift in marketing plans for linux. Like we should teach people to learn linux, is like learning new brands of mobile phones. People don't complain much lol.
