This reminds me of the Barcamp session I had in KL a couple of weeks ago.
The guys from OpenMalaysia (http://www.openmalaysiablog.com/) gave 2
talks about the how Malaysia has contributed to the Open Source movement
(one dude actually wrote the entire sound system for the OLPC) and also
about their activism efforts (they fought the Garment + Microsoft).

I went away with lots of respect for them and some guilt that I am not
