Hi All,

Just a reminder that I have setup a meeting for Nov 10 at SMU (Thanks Vincent).

Please RSVP so I can get an Idea on the turn out.

See you there next week. In the mean time I will piece together what ever other information that may be needed on Societies.

From Last email:

Over the past few weeks after the Software Freedom Day, there were multiple discussions for the formation of an Open Source Alliance. This alliance would act in the interest of all participating open source groups and help to drive community and business adoption of FOSS.

To further this cause, SLMG has created this meeting to accomplish the following:

1. Determine the overall structure of the alliance and council.
a) what will be the components of the alliance (Community, business, sponsorship, membership, etc)
b) Structure of the council.
c) Election of the Council (if possible)
2. Determine requirements for establishing a Registered Society
a) Formation of a new society .
b) Discuss and allocate work to complete the registration.
3. Determine the high level charter for the alliance
4. AOB and Action Items.

Tom Goh
