I've not tried Zarafa before, but they promise drop-in replacement of
Exchange since they built their product around MAPI. 'might be worth a
look if you absolutely must have Outlook on the desktop.
I've done one Scalix install at the request of a client, and will never
touch it again.
My number-one choice remains Zimbra because :
- it's Open Source (all the really usefull day-to-day bits anyway)
- it's built using standard OSS components that I grok ( postfix,
openldap, tomcat, perdition, mysql)
There was another product called PostPath, but it looks like Cisco
gobbled them up never to be heard from again.
