The issue on whether the N900 will be getting MeeGo has been answered on
the wiki page of the maemo.org website. Valtteri Halla already stated
that the N900 will get a developer build of MeeGo (and it will have to
be installed fresh).
I'm quite happy with my N900, and I'm also excited about the next
firmware release, which will enable Qt 4.6 on the N900 giving a large
range of applications on my phone. So that's a +1 on getting an N900 for me.
Lastly, I'm planning to sign up for a Mobile Broadband Plan with
Singtel. Mostly just due to preference.
