1degreenorth Pte Ltd (http://www.1degreenorth.com) is looking to hire several
passionate Linux systems and GUI/web developers.
The Founding team of 1degreenorth are the early pioneers of Linux and HPC
clusters in Singapore and Asia Pacific. We were the co-developers of SDSC's
Rocks cluster toolkit from 2002-2006; and developers of Project Kusu from
2006-2010. Project Kusu is the foundation of many HPC management systems
OEM'ed/resold by DELL, INTEL, HP, Cray and Red Hat today.
We are embarking on the development of the next-generation of HPC and Cloud
infrastructure and we are inviting like-minded, never-say-die,
we-can-change-the-world attitude people to join our team.
Linux Systems Developers:
- Proficient in Linux systems development
- 2 - 4 years experience building Linux system tools for managing servers,
applications, workflows or data
- 2 - 4 years experience with Linux administration with Python/Ruby
Web/GUI Developers:
- Proficient in web/GUI development in the area of management and end-user
consoles
- 2 - 4 years experience with web 2.0 tools/applications and tools such as
Python/Ruby/AJAX/PHP
Basic Requirements:
- B. Sc/Eng or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
plus 2-4 years of related experience.
- Position is open to Singaporean and PR only.
Bonus
- Knowledge of virtualization/container technologies
- Knowledge of high performance computing clusters, grid and/or cloud computing
- 1- 2 years experience with C/C++
