The SLURM environment variables with hostname information will
refer to the SLURM hostnames rather than the actual hostnames.
That will prevent most MPI implementations from working, but
it should work fine for testing resource allocations.

Hi All,

I'm going to be testing some scheduler policy changes and my initial attempt
at setting up a ton of VMs was proving to be a hassle. I was thinking
instead of using the multiple slurmd support. The docs mention that not all
slurm functions work with multiple slurmd support enabled. Is it likely that
any of the functions that don't work with multiple slurmd support would
adversely impact my policy testing? Specifically I'm looking to test
fair-share and some qos settings.

Thanks!
