In releasing 2.3.0 there is also a corresponding branch (slurm-2.3) on the github page (https://github.com/SchedMD/slurm). The master branch will continue to be the bleeding edge branch dealing with SLURM 2.4 and future developments.
Only bug fixes will be applied to the slurm-2.3 branch going forward and all feature enhancements and such will go on the master branch as we have done with 2.2.
